Wine- and culture-hungry people already know that in addition to wine, a broader universe is revealed during the events taking place at Vylyan.
Philosophy of Wine
To quote the work by Béla Hamvas entitled “A bor filozófiája/Philosophy of Wine“: “Only those can drink really good wine who have received an education influenced by muses, and read poetry, enjoy pictures and listen to music.” This spirit inspires most of our events. We really enjoy seeing the terrace fill up with life, smiles, poets, musicians, actors and of course our dear, returning guests, because this way, wine becomes a truly joyous feast for us, as well.
A little taste of our special events
At the end of January, the traditional Vince Day is celebrated, which was reintroduced to this wine region by our winery. Those who miss this, can greet the coming spring and culture with us at the BorZsongás (Wine Buzz) feast. After the Midsummer celebration of love in June, the Ördögkatlan (Devil’s Cauldron) Festival in August gives a unique atmosphere, which is simply unmissable. Autumn is a time for harvest and new wine, which is accompanied at our winery by the Bogyólé (Berry Juice) art competition and exhibition.
Our Művészi Hordó (Artistic Barrel) project has also come to light from the cross-section of art and wine. Our unique works of art are made from our (oak) barrels used for aging the wine, which receive our visitors as a permanent public art exhibition even today.
For kids and adults alike!
Anyone who has visited us, knows that kids will love the Vylyan terrace. Parents are welcome to relax and sip wine while children can enthusiastically discover the beautiful surroundings, the park, the vineyard groves through the small football field to the trampoline. Less “active” children can play with colouring tools and other toys in the children’s corner. So you should not leave your little ones at home, we welcome your whole family!
You should explore the calendar of events on our website, subscribe to our newsletter and follow us in social media in order not to miss anything.
