MANDOLÁS is a wine that perfectly reflects what mission Cabernet Franc variety has in the Villány wine region. This wine is concentrated, serious with an elegant structure that does not miss a refreshing effect.
The complex aromas seduce the senses: sweet spicy notes unfold like the gripping atmosphere of a delicacy shop with coffee, chocolate truffles, roasted almonds and dried berries. This wine is a delicate experience with an everlasting finish.
Favoured with game, roasts, with e.g. forest-fruit reduction followed by a bitter chocolate dessert. Also worth trying with a cigar.
White and cold winter; warm and sunny spring with early blooming; hot and dry summer – start of ripening at the end of July. Because of the hot days the harvest already started on the 21st of August and lasted until the 19th of October under ideal weather conditions.

The terroir and the extraordinary vintage created the rare opportunity to make this vineyard selection. The must was concentrated and mature. The fermentation was evenly balanced and was followed a 7 days long cold maceration.
The malolactic fermentation and maturation took place in 225 litre Hungarian oak barrels of mixed age (65 % new, 20 % one year old, 15 % two years old). The wine was aged 18 months and only the most beautiful lots were eventually selected and bottled as MANDOLÁS selection.
