BELZEBUB Cuvée 2015
1 799 Ft
2-4 working days
A blend based on local varieties. Named after Belzebub, the amorous devil from the old local legend of Villány.
Its unique style shows the traditional flavour of the region that catches us with its vitality. The vividness of zweigelt and kadarka are rounded with the typical spiciness of the cabernet franc.
The fragrance opens with accords of red fruitiness reminiscent of sour cherry and plum. The palate is refreshing, followed by silky notes of spiciness (clove). Characterized by lively acidity and smooth tannins.
We recommend it with grilled meats, roasts and most meals with a fruit side dish.
Excellent, extremely sunny, hot summer with a couple of heat alerts, but the vines were not frightened.
We started the harvest on the 1st of September and the ideal, warm, dry weather lasted till the middle of October. The harvested grape was harmonic, well-balanced and concentrated, the wine became fresh and lively in colour.

We harvested and vinified the grape varieties separately. The short and intensive fermentation was followed by aging in elder 225 l barrels (40%) and that of 6500 l (60%); made out of Hungarian oak from Zemplen and Mecsek wood.
