Vylyan at Palota District Picnic!
Wine, food and culture – gastro picnic in the Palota District!
Time: 26 – 29. May, 2011
Location: Budapest, VIIIth District, Mikszáth tér- Krúdy utca. (5 minutes walk from 4-6 tram stop Baross Utca, or from the Szabó Ervin Library on Kálvin Tér)
The Palota District is the throbbing centre of the VIIIth district, that is part of the fashionable downtown Pest. Over the years the cobble-stoned Mikszáth tér and Krúdy utca has become a gastro cultural centre for the whole area. Organisers Palota District Picnic aim to introduce the multicultural variety that this meeting point represents. The artist community of Palota District will have opportunities to represent their works: live musicians, performing artists and kids’ theatre. Exciting and relaxing leisure activities are offered for all age groups throughout the day.
During the picnic all the restaurants of the square will be offering a special gastro picnic menu that compliments and harmonises with the various types of wines offered for tasting. During the wine tasting event we will be handing out gastro-info vouchers that explain which dish goes with which wine. Upon presenting these vouchers the special meals are offered at discounted prices to the guests of the picnic.
