FINE ARTS, PROGRAMMES FOR CHILDREN, HUMOR, DANCE, THEATRE, LITERATURE AND MUSIC, MUSIC, MUSIC...
Bárka has sailed out of Pula, from the Valley of Arts and created Ördögkatlan Festival in Baranya County. The festival will take place in August for the second time, with the support of Pécs 2010 European Capital of Culture programme and the material sponsorship from National Cultural Found. It is also important to mention the help of the villages providing the locations, the cultural institutes and at last but not least Vylyan Vineyards and Winery.

Alexander Balanescu
The world famous violin artist and composer is opening Ördögkatlan Festival. He will play his violin in Szoborpark (Statue Park) accompanied by the dancer, Andrea Ladányi on 5th August. For three days he will lead a string work-shop in Kisharsány and present a concert with his exclusive team on 8th. He closes the festival in Palkonya with the band Muzsikás.

Béla Tarr
After Bartók and Puskás he might be the most famous Hungarian these days. If you are enthusiastic about rain, black-and-white movies, long nights and long films you can watch five films of the artist at the festival. You will also have the chance to meet Tarr on 9th August before the screening of Sátántangó (Satan's Tango).

Vojvodina

Félix Lajkó is arriving from the forest of Palić accompanied by Antal Brasnyó, Népszínház (Folk Theatre) from Subotica is presenting two shows at the festival /Záróra (Closing Time) and Szomorú vasárnap (Sad Sunday)/. The photo exhibition of Nándor Szilágyi will recall southern poets and the quartet of Árpád Bakos will nicely compound folk music and jazz.

Chris Potter
He is one of the best saxophone players of contemporary jazz. Potter was born in Chicago, he grew up in South Carolina and played his first jazz concert as an official musician at age 13! He has been living in New York since age 18. It's Mediawave that brought him to Kisharsány from New York.
