Zweigelt
Enjoying a renaissance in Austria, this individually spicy, exciting wine is becoming more popular in Hungary, too. It usually offers an abundant harvest, but through restricting yields and maturing in small barrels, our cellar produces a reliably fine wine from year to year.

Zweigelt is an individually spicy, exciting variety, it is shown in our 2008 vintage. The warm nose pleasantly cites blackberry, punch and cinnamon notes. The blackberry note continues on the palate, complemented with cocoa and ginger notes. It is a medium bodied, fleshy wine.
Perfect match with air-dried ham and black olive bites. Fine companion also for hotter sausages and local salamis!

Villanyi Zweigelt 2006
In Austria, Zweigelt is enjoying its revival. It is becoming increasingly popular in Hungary too. The wine produced from this grape has a real personality. One can easily recognize Zweigelt by its characteristically spicy aromas. Due to its structure, it is ready for long cellar ageing, but can also be drunk young.
Vylyan Zweigelt 2004
It is a deep ruby, medium bodied wine with black cherries and cassis in the fragrance. The palate shows complex aromas of strawberries and redcurrant with the touch of vanilla and coconut derived from oak barrel aging. Balanced structure with silky tannin and fine acidity. Is a great company for spicy or some heavier dishes.

It is a ruby coloured wine with red fruits int he aromas, with the touch of vanilla and cinamon. Due to its medium bodied structure it can be served for medium and spicy dishes. It is a medium bodied ruby coloured wine with marked acidity and tannins. The fruitiness is manifested in red fruits and sour cherry, with the touch of white pepper, caramel, vanilla and chocolate. Due to its structure it can be ready for long cellar maturation, and is a great company for spicy dishes.

Vylyan Zweigelt 1999
Pomegranate coloured, full bodied red wine, showing the aromas gained by bottle maturation over the years. The grape itself is bit of a foster child of winemakers - although it gives reliably nice and exciting wines year after year. Its aromas are cinnamon, spices and chocolate, its fruitiness is given mostly by black cherries. The speciality of this vintage in our winery is that the wines of 1999 are heavy, serious and ready for long cellar maturation. Because of its marked tannins it is recommended with heavier roasts, steaks, and red meat of venison and other game.
