Syrah
Syrah is a new addition to our range. It is a striking Mediterranean variety, full-bodied, concentrated and fleshy. Its colour is very deep and its bouquet complex (cranberries, blackberries, black pepper and spices).

Syrah is a striking Mediterranean variety, feels like home in Villany.
He’s a real „macho“ who’ll sweep you off your feet by his very appearance. However, the Mediterranean strong features conceal a valuable, sensuous nature. It is a fleshy and concentrated wine with an extremely complex flavour, from the intense forest fruits to the spicy aromas (vanilla and white pepper).

He’s a real „macho“ who’ll sweep you off your feet by his very appearance. However, the Mediterranean strong features conceal a valuable, sensuous nature. The nose is extremely complex: from the milder cacao beans and intensive forest fruits aromas to the robust peppery spiciness. The long finish shows ripe grapefruit notes. The wine has great potential and leaves behind the promise of long cellaring.
Vylyan Syrah „Mandolas slope” 2004
Syrah is a quite new wine in our repertoire. It is a Mediterranean grape variety, grown on a south facing slope of our vineyard. After long barrel aging a deep coloured, concentrated wine with silky tannins is born. Its strong character is provided by perfumes (grapefruit) and spices (freshly grounded black pepper) and a long finish. Nice match with spicy dishes.
Vylyan Syrah “Mandolas” single vineyard 2003
This wine was the first vintage of our Syrah grape harvested from a single vineyard. The south facing Mandolas slope allowed our grapes to ripen fully. The colour of the wine is very deep and intense with black reflexes. The flavour is extremely complex: rose petals, cinnamon, leather and bitter chocolate – only a few notes out of many. It is a full-bodied, concentrated wine with long lingering aftertaste.
