Vylyan: Vineyard of the year for the second time
Founded in 2002 by the National Council of Wine Communities, the Hungarian Wine Academy and the Association of Hungarian Grape and Wine Producers, the “Vineyards of the Year” award was given last year for the seventh time based upon the nominations and votes of professional groups.
The “Vineyard of the Year” award is given for the overall performance of a wine-producing company which has done the most in the given year to widely promote Hungarian wine, wine culture and cultured wine consumption both at home and abroad.
In 2008, the Kisharsány-based Vylyan Cellars won this title.
